Suzanna Choffel - SXSW, Spill, 3/13/08

Austin local Suzanna Choffel played a hot set at Spill to round out the afternoon's music. With a great sounding band, Suzanna played original compositions that ran the gamut from electrified singer-songwriter with some very interesting rhythms, to reggaefied soul, all the way to a bumpin' funk tune that could hold it's own quite nicely alongside Tower of Power.

Suzanna played some fine electric guitar, accompanied by Johnny Vogelsang on bass, Eldridge Goins on drums, Brad Houser on sax, and Laura Scarborough on vibes. Suzanna Choffel is one of Austin's finest; pick up her CD, Shudders and Rings (2006) at CD Baby.
