Shout Out Louds - SXSW, Mohawk Patio, 3/12/08

It took about the first three songs of the Shout Out Louds' set to wade through the waiting line at Mohawk on Red River Street. Luckily the show was outside on their patio and the sound was just as good outside the chain link fence as it was inside the venue. The Shout Out Louds' brand of rock is loud, energetic, and above all exceedingly tuneful. So much so that after hearing them play live, I'm seriously wanting to check out their CDs.

The three frontmen all sing, specifically Adam Olenius and Carl von Arbin on guitars and Ted Malmros on bass; according to the All Music Guide, the three were all childhood friends in Stockholm before forming the band. Bebban Stenborg handles all the keyboards, and Eric Edman anchors the rhythm on drums.
